Knoppix anyone?
Knoppix security online:
1.) Are the files created by Knoppix on the ram-drive subject to reconstruction using Tiramisu or any of the data reconstruction programs the feds use?
2.) Can a PC running online under Knoppix be invaded by a hacker?
3.) Can the online PC be infected with malicious code?
4.) Can a Knoppix disk be configured so as to key log and e-mail to the party who created the disk.
5.) Can a user store files to the HD permanently?

it'd be hard to root a knoppix instance (invasion by hacker) but again, if it's really important to someone who knows how...
infected with mal code? not your typical ms rpc worm but see above awnser. again, someone who was intimate with the details of knoppix and debian possessed with a keen and unlawful interest of what is running on said box...
knoppix disks can be remastered. you can always uncompress all those files and examine them for rootkits etc...
yes drives can be mounted both read & write. even write to ntfs.

#2 & #2 - - So then a blue meanie can indeed invade and set malicious code.
That opens another question: Are you pingable running knopix, does it leave ports open?

ports? dunno really. I know ssh server isn't running by default and has to be started. never have port scanned a knoppix box. pingable yes.
