Finding a linux application to run on a Mac

Hi,

I got a program called virtual PC with the Mac but no windows to run on the virtual PC, it appears.

Is there any Linux program that can run the .exe programs on either the Mac OS X or on the vitual PC??

    A quick search shows me that QEMU and MacOnLinux are specifical applications for Macintosh... is that right?

    Another concern I have is for the command interface with Linux programs... is it difficult to learn? Are there online resources about if so?
